HSBC Uk Small Business Team planting bulbs in our Stroke Unit garden.

We are right at the heart of the community. Our 3,500 staff care for 500,000 people each year who could be your employees or customers. Covid-19 saw an unprecedented outpouring of support for the healthcare sector, demonstrating the passionate care communities have for their hospital services and staff.

Supporting your local hospital charity offers you the opportunity to engage with many different causes and people from our maternity unit to the children’s wards and elderly care. We are opening up again post-Covid to provide CSR opportunities to our corporate partners and with the NEW HOSPITAL coming, there will be opportunity for your business to help shape what that could be and legacy opportunities for you to give to the local community.

There are many mutual benefits in partnering with us. You benefit by:

  • Working towards your Corporate Social Responsibility

  • Team building opportunity through volunteering days in one of the hospital gardens.

  • Developing leadership potential among your emerging talent by empowering them to drive your CSR programme.

  • Positive public relations by the broadcasting of business support through the social media/publications of both the charity and the hospital.

  • Being able to tell your stakeholders about your commitment to care in the community supporting a cause you touches their lives and associate your brand with ours

What are the opportunities to support us?

Support comes in many forms.

  • First we will listen to what you want to achieve by partnering us. We will then find you options from different areas of our care services you may want to support.

  • You can support us via setting your staff a fundraising target which you can match fund and create team bonding while honing the talents of team builders and motivators among your people.

  • Send a team to volunteer with us for a day to enhance our gardens for patients and staff to recuperate in.

  • Participate in one of the challenge events we run over the year - a half marathon, quiz night, Scavenger Hunt - or run one of your own and we will support you!

  • Payroll giving

  • If you run a small business, support us via the Work for Change scheme. Run a sales drive and tell your customers that for every £1 they spend with you, a percentage chosen by you will go to our charity. This is very easy to set up with all legal forms simplified and in place and used by dozens of hospitals.

  • Donate in-kind: toys for the children at Christmas, chocolates at Easter, warm clothes and toiletries for he elderly or baby clothes for the specialist maternity teams looking after vulnerable mothers.

We’d love to talk to you about opportunities to partner with us. Luke Penwald, our Corporate Partnerships Manager, would love to hear from you on: 07540 874362 or email on luke.penwald@nhs.net
